I'll post updates on "what's next" for yours truly as I'm able to do so. Thanks very much for your continued support. And yes, I'm glad God is still the one in charge of the things that matter most. WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

Merry Christmas to you and yours!
As we try to get through all the hassles of the holiday season, let's find time to pause and reflect on what it all means: Celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. There's been a lot of talk on the political front this year about "a Messiah" arriving in the form of a politician from Chicago. Well, I know THE Messiah, and He's not named Barack.
I wish the President-elect the best as he takes on a very difficult job, but he.. .and we... will need a whole lot more support from The One, the Savior of the World whose birth we celebrating at Christmas. God bless you and your loved ones.

WE'VE LOST A GREAT FRIEND

Paul Weyrich, founder of the Free Congress Foundation and first President of the Heritage Foundation, passed away today at age 66. He was one of America's foremost champions of Conservatism. Paul was also a dear friend and political mentor of mine for 20 years. MRC's Brent Bozell said it best today:

He was a man of principle who not only stood firmly on the ground of conservatism, but who took giant strides to advance and spread these values in the public square and in the hearts of countless Americans. The fruits of Paul’s labor will continue to flourish, and the words of his namesake – St. Paul of Tarsus – were never more true: Paul Weyrich fought the good fight, he finished the course, and he always kept the faith.

Our prayers go out to Paul's family. He will be greatly missed.

LAND OF CORRUPTION

Illinois leads the league in sleaze with the latest Governor to get caught in a disgusting "the rules aren't for me" deal: http://apnews.myway.com/article/20081210/D94VQDNG0.html
It's a tradition in that state where this sort of thing seems to be the norm. And by the way: More tainted democrats than republicans over the years.

NO DUH, DEPT.

Americans are "cutting back" on holiday season spending, so says a new poll: http://money.cnn.com/2008/12/08/news/money_economy_poll/index.htm?cnn=yes
This is a mystery? When news is tough and budgets are tight everyday Americans cut back on expenses. Unlike Congress.

THE NUMBERS TELL THE FULL STORY

More of what you're not seeing or hearing in the mainstream news media: Progress in Iraq and Afghanistan, at least based on casualty figures through November. MYSTIFIED ANCHOR TIME

You knew it was coming but these people should know better. An MSNBC anchor is wondering why, after the election of Barack Obama, there is still terrorism: http://newsbusters.org/blogs/rich-noyes/2008/12/01/msnbc-anchor-frets-why-hasn-t-obama-s-election-ended-terrorism
