Fire the strikers, just like the Gipper did when the air traffic controllers walked out in the early 1980s. Union leaders are the only ones who benefit when they push their members into strikes. Example: The 2003 grocery walkout in Southern California. When all was settled, stores closed and workers lost jobs anyway. Only the fat cat people in union leadership (aka "da thugs") got job security.
