That's called success. But you wouldn't know it by listening to Democrats on the Sunday TV talkshows--- they're now casually referring to Afghanistan as "it's blowing up" or "things are coming apart". They want to lump Afghanistan and Iraq together, and ignore dramatic progress in both countries. I predicted this left-wing spin when I returned from that country earlier this spring (travelling to hot spots such as Helmand Province). The Taliban and Al Qaeda always mount an offensive, and this year's is stronger. But every day the Coalition forces are seeing big wins over the enemy. Oh, and yes--- it's the "enemy" the media should be talking about... not referring to them as some generic "militants" or "insurgents".
MORE FROM INSIDE AFGHANISTAN: Defense Minister Adbul Rahim Wardak is scheduled to join me later this week, direct from Kabul. NEWSMAX MAGAZINE: Yours truly was interviewed for a special feature about Afghanistan in the JULY issue of the print publication...you'll see copies available in the next few days.
