ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION UPDATE

Chertoff says there's progress. We'll see about that. In the meantime Rep. Mike Pence is pushing his proposal to fix the problem, touring San Diego yesterday and appearing with notables in Texas today. Word is the White House is throwing support to Pence so that GOP lawmakers can get on the record about immigration reform before the November elections.
