JUDICIAL ACTIVISM... AGAIN
This time the California Supreme Court goes against the will of the voters of the state, redefining marriage: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/05/15/BAGAVNC5K.DTL Eight years ago over 60% of Golden State voters approved Proposition 22, the measure that made it clear that legally recognized marriage is between a man and a woman. Once again a handful of judges have thumbed their noses at the will of the people, as they've done... or tried to do... many times. That's the point. The debate can be about what constitutes marriage, but the bigger issue is whether judges will be allowed to trump the will of the people.

One of the more irritating displays of arrogance today was that of San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsome... the same man who began trampling the State Constitution in recent yearsby just deciding to change the rules in his city. Today he proudly declared that whether Americans like it or not, as California goes.. so goes the nation. His message was basically, "get used to it".
