Of course The Donald knows this will pump up big ratings for his pageants, but he showed America that he also supports free speech.  In making the decision, Trump showed respect for the millions who agree with the traditional marriage view while avoiding demonization of the other side (he even said he'd welcome Perez Hilton back as a judge). Carrie's comments at today's news conference were very appropriate, especially the point about "agreeing to disagree" when it comes to hot button issues. Both sides of political debates can learn something from the civility displayed through Trump and Prejean's articulation of this case. (He was also right when he told the assembled media, "you should be ashamed of yourselves".)
