THIS WEEK IN HISTORY...

Ah, those were the days. 1968 was an awful year, but the tremendous success of Apollo 8 brought fresh hope to so many Americans. The boldness of the astronauts in reading from the Bible made it even better (despite cries of foul from America's leading atheist, Ms. O'Hair). The voices you hear, in order, are Frank Borman, Jim Lovell and Bill Anders. Learn more about the mission here: nasm.si.edu/collections/imagery/apollo/as08/a08sum.htm
Merry Christmas!
