AS I WAS SAYING ALL LAST WEEK...

Events in Europe may very well be part of the birth pangs of an uprising of Islamic extremists who are testing their muscle, building toward something much bigger. Now NEWSWEEK is considering the same possibilties.

EVIDENCE DOESN'T STOP PEOPLE FROM CLAIMING IT'S NOT JIHAD:
Oh, so it's really just a self-esteem problem? Nice try.

WAKE UP EUROPE, YOU HAVE A WAR ON YOUR HANDS: Mark Steyn has this issue nailed.

HERE WE GO AGAIN: San Diego's hot mayoral election revs up with City Attorney Mike Aguirre writing to the County Registrar of Voters about "concern" that we need "observers" to insure there are no "problems" in the Tuesday vote. Current polls show Jerry Sanders leading Donna Frye by 7%. As I speculated on my show last week, we shouldn't expect that a Sanders mayoral victory, if fairly close, means he's the winner and litigation is over. I don't think Aguirre's move is coincidental but is a part of the run-up to make a case for possible challenges and recounts. That would allow any entity (unions, for example) more encouragement to fight the will of the people in court. Again.

NO, SOMETHING HAS NOT FROZEN OVER: Donna Frye breaks the silence, on Day 123, joining me on NewsRadio600 KOGO and www.kogo.com at 2:35PM Pacific time on Monday.
Also on the show: Jerry Sanders, Former Governor Pete Wilson, Rowan Scarborough of the Washington Times (author of "Rumsfeld's War"). We'll also run down the list of all of the issues in Tuesday crucial elections.
