HAPPY NEW YEAR... NOW GET BACK TO WORK
This is so confusing. New Year's Day without the Rose Parade (due to an old "never on Sunday" rule), Rose Bowl not until Wednesday. Here's a hunch: Many Americans are still on Christmas vacation this week. Oh sure, many will be back to work today, but due to the crazy stretched-out holiday schedules, they may be taking "mental vacations" until next Monday.
KUDOS TO DICK CLARK: For working hard to get past a horrible stroke, and braving criticism by doing the New Year's Eve TV show. Yes, he is far from his "old self" yet, but he deserves plenty of credit for just going out there, challenges-and-all and just "doing it".
BEFORE WE FLUSH 2005: Here's a fresh look at Notable Quotables: The Annual Awards for the Worst Reporting. (Larson was again honored to be among the hard-working judges)
Ah, there are some gems here:

ONCE MORE, WITH FEELING: Our favorite "gotcha" (self-inflicted) in 2005 was The Today Show's Michelle Kosinski's canoe adventure in storm-ravaged waters (about five inches deep), LIVE on the show. The same day NBC was bagging Bush for "staging" news events. Ah, beautiful. Enjoy this classic clip one more time: http://newsbusters.org/node/2199
DISCOVER WHAT THE POLITICAL LEFT IS UP TO: As heard on our radio show today, David Horowitz has updated his guide to liberal extremism in America. You can track your favorite lefties and find out who supports whom... and where the funding's coming from. Be ready for some shockers and hours of online fun!
