It's the first time the California State Democratic Convention has been held here: www.10news.com/news/13208479/detail.html I say to them, "Welcome. Please spend lots of money. Then go home." I'm not picking on all of the attendees, just the extreme lefties and the DNC "leadership"... if leading means pressing showing the enemy all of our plans. Hey, I have no qualms about Hillary, Obama, Kucinich, Edwards (nice hair) et al. I just don't want them running anything important.
SPEAKING OF EDWARDS: John Edwards' wife Elizabeth got into it with Chris Matthews last night before the Dems debate. And she stepped in it, suggesting President Bush went to Virginia Tech to comfort families because it's a prettier, more upwardly mobile place than New Orleans post-Katrina. I admire her battle against cancer, but she's been making some nasty public statements lately, including the disparaging words about her gun-toting Republican neighbor.
