JUDGE OUT OF CONTROL
Here we go again. A Federal judge decides to flex his environmental agenda and rules California must dramatically cutback water from the Sacramento Delta... in order to protect the dinky little "Delta Smelt": http://www.fresnobee.com/384/story/126606.html Ah yes, just like San Diego county's expensive hassles in years past over the "gnat catcher" (which may have been endangered here but not across the border in Mexico), here's a judge apparently caring more about tiny fish than the well-being of the people of California. Expect water rationing sooner than expected, among other challenges. This is yet another wake-up call for elected officials to get in gear quickly to improve infrastructure in the state. Leadership and action anyone? Soon? Oh, by the way: The judge who's now created this mess was appointed by Bush 41, back in 1991. Maybe he thought the judge was conservative (unlikely) or once again we see how a "conservative" president was really putting left-wingers in places where they'll cause problems for years to come.
