BIGOTRY RISING

As the left continues to be flummoxed by the surprising political power of Palin (and McCain), signs of the meltdown are evident, especially as her personal religious beliefs are mocked. Increasing attempts are now being made to compare Palin's views with Rev. Wright, and stereotypes are cranked up (on the usual blogs) about how "crazy" Christians are.  The Constitutional fact is that a person's religious beliefs are not criteria for Presidential qualifications.  Americans have a right to know who believes what, but it should not be a litmus test for candidacy.  Issues are the key. Voting records matter.  And BTW: It's "freedom OF religion", remember?   As a conservative Christian I'm getting real irritated by the sleazy cheap shots from the left(with assists from mainstream media)... broadsides that reveal a colossal ignorance of the tenets of faith and demonstrating monumental INtolerance from the very people who preach "can't we all just get along" tolerance.

ALSO DRIVING THEM BATTY: The Republican Convention was the most watched  (TV) political convention in history.  Fasten your seatbelts. The level of media-fed nastiness is increasing.

Should deep, probing questions be asked about candidates? Of course. On every issue that matters. But the queries need to be just as probing on both sides of the political aisle.  Can't wait for more info on Obama's connections to Bill Ayers and his work on the Woods Foundation. And for some evidence about just what kind of "community organizing" The One was doing in the neighborhoods.
