WASHINGTON,DC UPDATE

Ah, it's quite the weekend here in the place known as Our Nation's Capital (I point that out to help all the students who've been out of class all week protesting). It's lovely spring weather and the cherry blossoms are at their peak. But on the Hill, it's becoming an outpost of Area 51. Rep Cynthia McKinney, Democrat from Georgia, leader of the "Don't You Know Who I Am?" school of politics, set charges of racism in motion with her wacky press conference on Friday (complete with her own racism on display). Among her props: young school children who were manipulated into holding pro-Cynthia signs. Then there was John Dean, eager to do the very best for, well, John Dean, testifying before the U.S. Senate, charging that Bush's wiretapping (etc etc) is "worse that Watergate". Our friend G. Gordon Liddy debunked that notion on my Friday show from Fox News DC... until a Deaniac tried to shout him down with plenty of Nixon-era naughty words. (Ah, thank the Lord for a digital delay system on our show!) And let's not forget Sen. Russ Feingold (another Dem '08 presidential wanna-be) trying to censure Bush... and now being joined by that pillar of virtue, Sen. Patrick "Leaky" Leahy. All of this goes on while GW Bush is out of town, trying to get somewhere on illegal immigration. Mexico's president (and disappointment) Vicente Fox says his country can't crack down on illegals on his side of the border because it would be harmful to Mexico's constitution. But trampling the U.S. Constitution is just fine? Fox would fit in very well with the assorted lunatics on Capitol Hill. He could become a K Street lobbyist after he's out of office.

ON THE LARSON SUNDAY SHOW: Claire Berlinski, author of Menace in Europe: Why the Continent's Crisis Is America's, Too and Arizona Congressman J.D. Hayworth, who is not all all happy about Bush administration policy on illegal immigration. Hear the show from 12Noon to 3PM Pacific on NewsRadio 600 KOGO and www.kogo.com
