HEATING UP AT CITY HALL

San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders gets tough on Sunroad: http://voiceofsandiego.org/articles/2007/06/23/government/709
At the same time, there's no love lost between Sanders and City Attorney Mike Aguirre.
I think it's time to break out the "Twister" game and let the best man win.

SPEAKING OF HEAT: Speculation continues regarding what yours truly is up to with Congress, other projects, you name it. I am really enjoying the time off-air to examine all options, and there are new possibilities that have appeared in the last couple of days. I'm also working on replying to all listener email... it's taking time, but I'll do it. I really appreciate all of the wonderful support since I elected to leave KOGO on June 15. More coming sooon, here on the Blog. I may also be doing some San Diego television morning shows next week. Stay tuned!

KUDOS TO ZORRO: We had the honor of attending the U.S. Navy Change of Command Ceremony yesterday at North Island, San Diego, honoring outgoing Vice Admiral Jim Zortman and incoming Commander of Naval Air Forces Vice Admiral Tom Kilcline, Jr. Jim and Kathie Zortman have become good friends of ours over the last few years, and they've done a wonderful job. The nation owes them a debt of gratitude. He's been an innovator in Naval operations, with responsibility for all U.S. aircraft carriers and air wings. She has done amazing work in the community and supporting miltary spouses and families... truly an "ambassadorial" job well done. They will be missed, and we'll look forward to continuing our friendship. Congratulations to all, and welcome to VADM Kilcline, who arrives with a tremendous record of his own (and the endorsement of Zorro).
